Elliott William H. Elliott, died of heart failure at his home near Zoan, S. C., Jan. 3rd, 1901. He was 68 years of age, and while he had been in somewhat ill health for a year or two, was apparently as well as usual. While chopping on the yard he fell and expired in a few minutes. The call was sudden and without a moments warning, but he had been preparing for the solemn change all along since young manhood. He joined the Methodist church in early life and lived a consistent member and liberal supporter of the same until his death. He was a great friend to the preachers and was ever ready to administer to their wants. He was kind and patient as a husband and neighbor and will be greatly missed in his community. He was funeralized at Zoan church by his pastor, Rev. I. N. Stone and buried in his family cemetery on Jan 5th, to await the resurrection morn. He leaves a wife and three brothers to mourn his loss.
