Fowler Died at His Home Near Bayboro At his home near Bayboro station on July 25th, 1905. Mr. John A. Fowler died about 8 o’clock at the age of thirty five years eleven months and eighteen days. He was born in Horry County about two or two and a half miles of where he died. He lived in the country all of his life. He was happily married to Miss Nancy Blackburn when about sixteen or seventeen years old and to them were given eight children, five or who survive him, with their mother, five brothers, one sisters, and an aged father and mother. Some twenty days before his death he began to complain and gradually grew worse. Dr. J. S. Dusenbury was called to gave him medical attention. Relatives, friends and neighbors came to his assistance but it seemed that he must go. His remains were followed by weeping relatives and friends to Mt. Eleve church where his funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H. B. Roberts in the presence of a host of loving friends. His body was laid to rest in the Mr. Eleve grave yard to await the resurrection morning. A Brother Additional Comments: Born August 7, 1869, son of Joseph & Rebecca (Tyler) Fowler.
