Charity Griffin

On Friday evening at nine o’clock Nov 20th, 1908, Mrs. Charity Griffin passed 
over the river of death at the ripe old age of eighty years. She had been in 
feeble health for some time but remained in her right mind until the last. She 
had been a member of the Methodist Church since early childhood. The funeral 
services were conducted by Rev. W. D. Pridgen, of Fair Bluff, after which 
loving hands laid the remains in the family burying ground beside her husband 
and one daughter, who preceded her to the spirit world. She leaves one son, 
two daughters, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.

“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.”
