He had been suffering for some time from abcess of the liver, and had been taken to the hospital where a surgical operation was performed about one week ago, in the hope that this might save his life. At first it was believed he would recover as he stood the operation well. Later he sand rapidly and died. Mr. Martin was a prosperous farmer of Bucks township and owned a fine farm and residence at Dongola in that township. He leaves a widow, two sons and one daughter to mourn the loss of a good husband and father. He had countless friends in this section of the county, and they will read with regret of this death of a man who every thought seemed to be in the interest of others, and who had nothing but good will for every fellowman.
