W. L. Tart A good man had gone to his reward. A kind father, a loving husband and a good neighbor has passed from the trials and sorrows of this world into the Great Beyond. Rev. W. L. Tart was born at Portsmouth, Va. Nov. 4th, 1824 died near Conway, S.C., April 12, 1903. While yet a child he gave his heart of Christ, and at the age of fourteen united with the Baptist church. Later in life he entered the ministry and for about twenty five years was a pillar of the church. He served numerous churches in North and South Carolina. Brother Tart was a man of deep piety and firm convictions and his death is felt keenly by those who knew him best. He leaves a devoted wife, three children and four grandchildren, to mourn their loss. W.
