Horry Herald May 4, 1911
On the 1st day of May, 1911, at 4 o’clock, the death angel visited the home of
A. E. B. Thompkins and took from him his loving companion, Mrs. D. Thompkins.


She was 73 years old and lived a consistent and devoted life, a loving wife and
a kind friend to all.


When she was only fifteen years old she united herself with the Baptist Church
and lived a true and consistent member until she was called to her reward.


She leaves surviving her husband and nine children to mourn their loss. May
heaven’s blessing rest with the bereaved ones in their sad hours of trouble.
