Pleasant Church, turn left. This will dead end into a less used road like an old logging type road it will run North to South. Look on the Right and the Cemetery is about a car length off the road. There should be several large headstones that should be able to see from the road. Noah and William McPherson were administrators in James McPherson's Estate, in his estate papers there are 13 slaves listed, I believe these are the graves of some of his slaves in prior years before his estate sell. There was only two slaves sold and the graves must be the slaves on the Plantation. James McPherson married Rachel Forgy, William McPherson married Sara Shirley; the Shirley family of Shirely Town and The Forgy Family, Cannon, Moore, and the Miller, families were close together. This property was known as the McPherson Plantation, now called McPherson Tract which was granted to Patrick Cunningham in the 1700's. E.G. Neslon bought part of the tract, this 149 acres was sold to Samuel R Todd and is now known as the Todd Tract. This property is now hunting land and is owned by Charles Stroop of Hendersonville, N.C. James McPherson died in 1850 in Laurens District, South Carolina, and his brother ownes the rest of the McPherson property. Nancy Elizabeth Cannon B/ Sept. 5, 1833 D/ Aug. 20, 1914 Aunt of J. W.
