Will of William BROWN, Senior, of Laurens District, South Carolina:

“In the Name of God Amen, I William Brown, Senior of Laurens District and 
State of South Carolina being weak in body but of sound and perfect minf and 
memory blefsed be Almighty God for th the same do make and publish this my 
Last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following (that is to say)

First I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Francis Brown all my 
pofsefsions both Land personal Estate during her life, and after her death my 
personal Estate is to be sold and Equal Divided Among my Eight Children, 
Except one Bed Furniture and that I give unto My Son John Brown My Eight 
Children Names Ursley Thompson, Lary [Sarah] Gilbert, Mary Wood, Francis 
Brook, John Brown, William Brown, Sufsannah Nix, Joseph Brown, and all my 
Lands I give unto My Son Joseph Brown to him and his heirs for ever I do 
hereby appoint my Son Joseph Brown whole Excutor of this my last Will and 
Testament, hereby roveing all former Wills made by me, in Witnefs whereof I 
have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Sixteenth day of July One Thousand 
Eight Hundred and Eliven

Signed Sealed, Published and declared by the above name William Brown Senr. To 
be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto 
Subscribed our Names as Witnefs in the presence of the Testator, and each other
