John McKelvey planter of state and District aforesaid, being sick and weak of body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding, thanks be to God for it and as it is appointed for all men to die, I do make this my last will and testament in manner following, and as I have given to Son James one hundred and thirty five dollars, to George one hundred dollars, to Peggy Laird, wife of Archabald Laird sixty dollars, to Wm. Sixty dollars, to John sixty dollars, Nancy Dalrumple wife of John Dalrumple thirty dollars to Samuel Eighty dollars, to Jabez eighty dollars, to Hugh one hundred dollars, all of which is to be counted unto them in their share of my Estate. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary all my Estate both real and personal during her Natural life or widowhood for her use to enable her to maintain her family and at her Death or Marriage the whole of the property to be sold (to wit) Lands goods and chattels and if she should marry she is to have Equal share with the children they and her to share and share alike first making those of my minor children equal to those above written for it is my will that each child should share and share alike, (to wit) James, George, Peggy Laird, wife of Archabold Laird, William, John, Nancy Dalrumple wife of John Dalrumple, Samuel, Jabez, Hugh, Thomas, Rachel, Alexander, Anna, Nelly, Polley and Isaac McKelvey. And that this is my last will may be well and executed I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my wife Mary Executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me made, and do declare this to be my last will and testament.
