Carolina Laurens District In the name of God Amen I William POLLARD of the State and District aforesaid being at this time in a low state of Health, but in Perfect sound Mind and Memory, and calling to mind & Memory the Uncertainty of Life, and the Certainty of Death, Do Constitute and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament in form following Revoking all others Whatever, First my will and desire is that all my Just Debts should be paid, Itim I Lend unto my beloved Wife Elizebeth Pollard The Plantation and Tract of Land Whereon I now live and Foure Negroes to wit Bruther; Ben, Abbey, & Ann, Together with all my Stock & Household Furniture; Except One Bed & Furniture which is Claimed by my Daughter Matilda which I Give her as her own Property; The above Named Property to be my Wifes During her Natural Life or Widowhood; Provided she should Marry for her to have one Third of the above Named Property; The Ballance of the said Property to be Equally Divided amongst my Children; Itim I Give unto my Daughter Matilda Pollard One Negro Girl named Moriah; Itim I Give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Pollard One Negro Girl Named Vylot, my Daughter to take Pofefion of those Negroes When Married; and at the Death of my Wife those two Negroes Girls to be Value and my Son to Draw their Value out of the Remainder of my estate; My will and desire is that my Young Children should be Educated out of my estate; and Lastly, I do Constitute and Ordain my Sons Marshal Pollard, Afred Pollard, & William Pollard My Executors to Execute this my last Will and Testament, In Witnefs wjere of I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this the Fifteenth day of June in the Year of our Lord One Thousand eight Hundred and Seventeen Sealed & Signed in the Presents of Wm.
