The Morning Star, Wilmington, NC –  Th 7/24/1890
-Maxton Union:              -Mr.
Wash. Norment, who lives near Harl-
leesville Bridge, on Little Pee Dee
River, had two boys drowned Saturday
evening while fishing in the river; they
were 11 and 13 years old.  The younger
one fell off of a log into the river, and
the older one jumped in after him and
both were drowned.
