ADAMS (Merchant) & Moses PARKER planter both of the District & State aforesaid Have granted bargained Sold and released and by these presents do bargain Grant Sell and release and convey unto them the Said William L. ADAMS and Moses PARKER the following tracts and parcels of lands (to wit) One tract containing by estimation one (Page 492) One hundred and twenty eight Acres more or less beginning at a Stake marked 3X thence N.E. 33 degrees 25 chains to a Pine Stump marked __(?) X thence to a Stake marked X thence N. W. 24.00 53 chains and 30 links to a pine marked X thence S. W. 77.0_12 chains and 25 links thence with crooked to William LISTER’s line then with said line to the beginning. The foregoing tract of Land being part of a certain tract of land containing originally two hundred & forty five acres patented by Mark MASON 5th February 1798. Also a Second tract of land containing two hundred and thirty eight acres more or less (?)Situated lying and being in the District of Marlborough on the north East Side of Crooked Creek beginning at a post oak corner marked 3X running from thence S. E. 73.0 29.30 to a Stake 3X in an old field thence South East 4.0 42.70 to a small Sassafras Corner 3X thence S. E. 79.0 21.50 to a Stake 3X in a pond thence N.E. 29.11 to a Stake 3X thence N. E. 53.3.50 to a Stake Corner 3X thence N.W.21.58.40 to a black Jack corner 3X thence N.E.72.14 (?).60 to a Stake 3X thence N.W. 6.0 15.45 to a stake corner 3X thence S.W. 40. To a Pine Stump Corner 3X thence S.W. 33.0 25 to the beginning corner post oak. Also a third tract of land containing Forty eight acres Situate in the District aforesaid on Crooked Creek being part of a tract of land originally containing two hundred and fifty acres granted to John MIKLELS (?) by his Excellency Charles G. MONTAIGUE Esqr. Governor & bearing date the nineteenth day of November 1772 and is represented by a plat to the original Grant annexed laid out as follows Viz beginning at a corner pine 3X __ 4.0 50 to a corner Hickory thence S.E. 86.50 to a corner thence N.E. 4.0 50 to a corner N.W. 86.50 to the Said beginning corner Pine which forty eight Acres being the North East part of Said tract is divided off from the other part of Said tract by the Said Crooked Creek run which is included in the bounds (?) Lines & courses of Said Plat for forty eight Acres. Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances to the aforesaid tracts of Land in any way belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and Singular the Said premises unto the aforesaid William L. ADAMS and Moses PARKER their heirs and assigns forever. Provided Nevertheless and upon condition that if the Said David MONTGOMERY shall well and truly or his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns or any of them shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the Said William L. ADAMS and Moses PARKER their certain attorney heirs, executors or Administrators the full and Just sum of Six hundred dollars with Interest from the date hereof, On or before the first day of January One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine, Then and in Such case and from all times thenceforth these presents and all the estate hereby granted and every Article clause and Sentence herein contained shall cease determine and be utterly void to all. ADAMS and Moses PARKER for the use and purposes therein mentioned and that himself and John DONALDSON in the presence of each other signed their names as witnesses to the due execution thereof.
