Know all men by these presents that I Eli WILLIS of Marlborough District and 
State of South Carolina planter in consideration of one hundred and fifty 
dollars to in hand paid by David MONTGOMERY of the District and State aforesaid 
Merchant have Granted bargained Sold and released and by these presents do 
Grant bargain Sell and release unto the Said David MONTGOMERY all that tract of 
Land containing one acre Situate N. E. of Great Pee Dee River and on the Beaver 
dam Creek Bounded by lines running as follows beginning at (?) stake 3x by the 
Road and running S. E. 70.3 .. 75 G  a Stake 3X thense S. W. 20. 2. 30  to a 
Stake 3X thence NW 70.5 = 2s to a Stake per Road thense with Said Road to the 
beginning

For the compliment of one Acre it being part of a tract of Land Sold by Obidah 
HARRIS to Eli WALTIN (WALTERS?) the fifth day of March one thousand Eight 
hundred and Eleven by deed bearing that date and recorded in the Registers 
office in Book H page 43-44- 25th day Sept 1813 Together with all and Singular 
the rights members Hereditaments and appurtenances to the Said premises 
belonging or in any wise incident as appertaining to have and to hold all and 
Singular the premises before mentioned use to the land David MONTGOMERY his 
heirs and assignees for Ever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs Executors and 
administrators to walk and aid for Ever Defend all and Singular the Said 
premises unto the Said David MONTGOMERY his heirs and assigns against myself 
and my heirs and against any person whomsoever Lawfully claiming or to claim 
the Said or any part thereof Witness my hand and Seal this Eleventh day of June 
in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and Seventeen and in the 
forty second year of the independence of the United State of America

Personally Appeared before me William FIELDS one of Justices of  (?)Safsegnd to 
Keep the peace in and foresaid District Peter PELHAM and being Duly Sworn Saith 
on his oath that he was present and did See Eli WILLIS Sign Seal and Deliver 
and as his Deed the with in Deed to David MONTGOMERY for the youse and purposes 
withero mentioned and that he signed his Name as a witness to the Said Deed and 
Saw John McColl Sign his Name and the other witness with himself at the Same 
time Swore to this 14th of September 1818
