Turn at intersection of Highway SC 67 and S-33-232 at signs of Bailey Bethel Church and Mt. Vernon Church. Follow this road to Bailey Bethel Church and turn right onto dirt road. Go approx. 1/2 mile. Watch for white paint on trees on right of road where the electric power line meets the road. Follow the white painted trees to cemetery. Grave 1 - In memory of JOHN BOTTS HARRISON who was born July 18, 1814, died Nov. 13, 1853, Aged 39 yrs. 3 mos 25 d's. (Grave was once surrounded by heavy wrought iron fence. Iron is now broken and on the ground in pieces. Stone slab is broken in 3 pieces and completely out of position.) Grave 2 - Sacred to the memory of Margaret Elizabeth, Daughter of Samuel and A. Bowie; and Consort of James S. Harrison who departed this life the 4th Nov. 1841, Aged 15 years, 7 months and 6 days. Long will her memory be cherished By her affectionate Husband, Relatives and Friends. When sickness woes and death were nigh. Past mercies taught me where to fly. Thine arm Almighty GOD did aid. When pain on my poor frame was laid. I trusted to they Sovereign skill. And bow'd submissive to thy will. Sickness and death did both agree. To bring me, Lord, at last to Thee. WT White Grave 3 - In memory of Margaret Bowie, only daughter of James and M. E. Harrison; who died 19th October 1847. Aged 5 years, 11 months and 29 days "Sleep on sweet Babe Until that glorious morning dawns, Then rise to mansions of eternal bliss Prepared beyond the skies."
