Her last illness was short and severe, and when death was stealing over her form, she seemed conscious of his presence, and with her last breath often repeated with touching Pathos "Friends meet me in Heaven." O, cruel death! why thus combine, To crush so fair a flower! And seek a heart so gently kind, To feel your dreaded power. Why in the morning of her days, With soul so formed for loving; Select the friend of all our race, To bear this keen reproving? To her the poor ni'er looked in vain Nor turned away neglected, She sought to soothe the suffers (sic) pain And comfort the dejected. Glendinning, Augusta Grave 4 - Mrs. Ann LeRoy, Born July 3, 1810, Died Oct. 22, 1860, She was pleasant in life and lovely in death Many unmarked graves in this cemetery.
