He was the son of Joseph Jennings, b. 1762 in Va., and d. 1842 in Plum Branch, and Frances Elizabeth Reynolds, b. 1771, d. before 1837, Joseph Jennings was a son of William Jennings, b. 1726 in Va. d. 1793 in Wilkes Co., Ga., and Agnes Dickerson, b. 1732 in Va., d. 1785 in Ga. --W.M.G.W.)
