Born in McDuffie County, GA, he had lived in Augusta for the past 21 years. He was a retired contractor and farmer. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Survivors include his wife, Mrs Emma B Logan; three sons, R W Logan of Detroit, MI, CA Logan of Harlem, and VE Logan o f Augusta; three daughters, Mrs RE Leonard of Augusta, Mrs AE Story of Harlem, and Mrs EH O'Pry of Huntsville, AL; 18 grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Logan of Augusta; a sister, Mrs Lula Richards of Warrenton; and several nieces and nephews. Augusta Chronicle, 1-9-1943, page 2A Logan Last Rites to be held Today Funeral services for Arthur Alonzo Logan will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock from Crawford Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev ER Eller officiating. Interment will take place in Old Union churchyard cemetery. Mr Logan a native of McCormick, SC, had lived in Augusta for 21 year. He died Thursday morning after a brief illness. Pallbearers will be Ted Inman, Linsay Wren, CH Canady, D Huff, LF Cannon and Robert Story.
