Three pounds, four shillings and two pence. Exc. P Mc A.G. State of South Carolina to William Green 1st January 1792 . 1 beef 250 lbs 3 pounds four shillings and two pence. ___________ on William Green I made oath that the above is justly due and not part received. William Green Wm. ____ther J.P. William Green one beef for the use of Genl. Lansere's brigade at Orangeburgh for which he is entitled to receive payment from the public of this State. 1st Jany 1782 Fred Fells C.L.B. Mr. William Green his acco't for duty done as a spy for Capt. John Norwood's Pay Bill _____in April 1781 and _______in Dec 1782 say 183 days at 40/___per day. Also militia duty ____per Col. Anderson's return. Eighty two pounds, two shillings and ten pence farthing Sterling. Exd. P.Mc A.G. I do hereby authorize and impower Capt. Robert Carothers to draw and receive my indent for services done for the state of South Carolina. Agreeable to return made to the Auditor's Office by Colo. Robt. Anderson. Given under my hand this 30h day of Sept 1785. I do certify that the said Wm. Green sign the above order this day and date above written. John Harris J.P. William Green 35 days militia duty for 15 Apr to 20 May 1781. Amount two pounds, 10 shillings Sterling.. Exd. P.Mc A.G. 20th Apr 1784 I have this day rec'd from General Richard Winn the full value of my ______against the public, now lying in the Auditor's Office, for auditing and afterwards to get an indent for the same from the Treasury of the State of South Carolina, to make out the indent for the same with the interest pursuant to the resolve of the Legislature in that _____to him the said Richard Winn and to accept this as a receipt in full against the public for the said acct. ________ William Green Tho. South Carolina Pursuant to an Act of the General Assembly passed the 16th day of March, 1783, We the Commissioners of the Treasury, have this day delivered to Mr. William Green this our Indented Certificate for the sum of Six Pounds Sterling for a horse in public service in 1779 ______ The said William Green, his Executors, Administrators, or Assigns will be entitled to receive from this office the sum of Eight shillings and four pence on demand for one year's interest on the principal sum of Six pounds Sterling and the like annually. The said William Green, his Executors, Administrators, or Assigns will be entitled also to receive and shall be paid, if demanded, the principal sum of Six pounds on the ninth of July 1789. And the said William Green, his Executors, Administrators, or Assigns may make any purchases at any Public Sales of Confiscated Property, (except such as shall be ordered by the Legislature for Special Purposes;) and this Indent shall be received in payment. For the true performance of the several payments in manner above mentioned, the Public Treasury is made liable, and the Faith of the State pledged by the aforesaid Act. Given under our hands at the Treasury Office in Charleston the ninth of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty five. J. Mitchell Commissioner of the Treasury 15 Aug 1785 William Green for two head of cattle appraised to five Guineas supplied the militia in July 1782. Five pounds eight shillings an nine pence Sterling. Exd. P. Mc A.G. This is to certify that William Green has supplied two head of beef cattle for the use of the southern army appraised at two and a half guineas each agreeable to law. Certified by me this 30th July 1782 Wm. Henderson B.G.M. South Carolina Pursuant to an Act of the General Assembly passed the 16th day of March, 1783, We, the Commissioners of the Treasury, have this day delivered to Mr. William Green this our Indented Certificate for the sum of five pounds eight shillings and nine pence Sterling for two head of cattle supplied for use of the militia _______________. The said Wm. Green, his Executors, Administrators, or Assigns will be entitled to receive from this office the sum of seven shillings and seven pence on demand on the principal of five pounds, eight shillings and nine pence and the like interest annually. The said Wm. Green, his Executors, Administrators, or Assigns will be entitled also to receive and shall be paid, if demanded, the principal sum of five pounds, eight shillings and nine pence Sterling on the ________ day of _______1787. The said Wm. Green, his Executors, Administrators, or Assigns, may make any purchases at any Public Sales of Confiscated Property, (except such as shall be ordered by the Legislature for Special Purposes;) and this Indent shall be received in payment. For the true performance of the several payments in manner above mentioned, the Public Treasury is made liable, and the Faith of the State pledged by the aforesaid Act. To certify that William Green did serve the public in hunting of cattle for _____use of General Green and General Marion's Regmente and from his _______ ________ and provisions at several difrante times: forty days in ye year 1782. Mc Rec'd 27 April 1786 full satisfaction for the within ___________ James Kelley South Carolina Pursuant to an Act of the General Assembly passed the 12 day of March, 1783, We, the Commissioners of the Treasury, have this day delivered to William Green this our Indented Certificate for the sum of eight pounds and fourteen shillings for four head of cattle. The said William Green, his Executors, Administrators, or Assigns will be entitled to receive the sum on the ______ day of ______with interest at the rate of seven per centum per annum from the first day of April one thousand seven hundred and eighty three. For the true performance of the payment in manner above mentioned, the Public Treasury is made liable, and the Faith of the State pledged to the aforesaid Act.
