(during Revolutionary War) came from Newberry District, South Carolina, to Chickasaw County, Mississippi, about 1840. William Pettus Shell, a descendant, gave the Bible to Dr. Clytee Rebecca Evans, 1208 Second Avenue North, Columbus, Mississippi. Bible is in very poor condition and some of the family records may be gone.
