Conveyance of real Estate
 from Nancy Hendrix to J. Calvin Schumpert

The State of South Carolina

	Know all men by these presents, That we Nancy Hendrix and Sarah Seigler
and Paul W. Seigler of Newberry County in the State aforesaid for and in 
consideration of four hundred and nine dollars & 82/100 to me paid by 
J. Calvin Schumpert of Newberry County in the State aforesaid have granted 
bargained sold and released, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, 
sell and release, unto the said J. Calvin Schumpert a certain tract or parcel 
of land lying and being in Newberry County and State aforesaid containing 
eighty-four and a half acres more or less, adjoining lands of John Parrot, 
E. H. Schumpert and D. P. Laker 
    Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments, and 
appurtenances to the said premises belonging, or in anywise incident or 
appertaining, to have and to hold all and singular the premises before 
mentioned, unto the said J. Calvin Schumpert his heirs and assigns forever, 
And we do hereby bind my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and 
forever defend, all and singular the said premises, unto the said J. Calvin 
Schumpert heirs, and assigns, against ourself and our heirs and all other 
person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same, or any part thereof.—
    Witness our hand and seals this seventeenth day of December in the year 
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy two and in the ninety 
seventh year of the Independence of the United States of America.

The State of South Carolina }  Personally appeared before me Jno A. Simpson and made oath 
Newberry County             }  that he saw Nancy Hendrix, Sarah Seigler P. W. Seigler sign seal 
and deliver the within conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned; and that he 
with J. A. Moffett in the presence of each other, witnessed the due execution thereof,
