South Carolina       }    Know all men by these presents that I Solomon
Newberry District   }     Reese of the State and District aforesaid for and
in consideration of the love and goodwill which I bear towards my Loving
Jane Ries of the same place, have given & granted and by these presents
freely give and grant unto the above mentioned Jane Rees her and her
heirs assigns ____ all my plantation a tract of Land situate in the State and
district aforesaid on the Beaverdam Branch waters of Saluda River 
containing 226 acres more or less and the said Solomon Rees do also give 
and bequeath unto the above mentioned Jane Rees all my personal estate namely 
my household and kitchen furniture and like wise all my stock of 
horses cattle and hogs ____ to her and her heirs and assigns forever to 
be at her will and disposal after my death with all and singular the rights & 
privileges thereunto or in any wise belonging to hold all and singular the 
same in free and common soccage.  Given under my hand and seal this 
twenty seventh day of October in the year aforesaid One thousand eight 
hundred and twenty.

Newberry District       }  and made oath that he saw Solomon Rees sign
seal and deliver the above conveyance for the uses & purposes therein
mentioned and that he with James Johnson & Charles Plunkett in pre-
sence of each other witnessed the ____ thereof Sworn to before me this
1st day of _____ 18
