Newberry County, Estates Box 37, Number 12

I Robert Cleland of the District of Newberry & state of South Carolina do make 
this my last will and testament  And first I recommend my soul to God who gave 
it and my boddy to be intered in a decent Christian manner  And as to such 
worldly estate as it hath pleased God to entrust me with, I dispose of the same 
as follows:  First I direct that all my property be sold on a credit of twelve 
month as soon as applicable and the notes of the money to be divided amongst my 
brothers & sisters as follows  To Mary butler wife of Hosa Butler five 
Dollars.  To Nancy Butler wife of Absalum butler five Dollars.  The balance of 
the money arising from my estate to be divided eqully between Jane Plunket wife 
of John Plunket William Cleland Elizabeth Johnston wife Elemuel Johnston Thomas 
Cleland Rhoda Galaway wif of John Galaway.  And I do hereby make and ordain my 
esteemed neighbor Jas G. Burton executor of this my last will and testament.  
In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this twentieth day of March in 
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirtysix
signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us
who have subscribed in the presence of each other
