LAST Will Of HUGH CREIGHTON In the Name of God Amen, I Hugh Creighton of Newberry County Ninety six District and State of South Carolina being Weak in body but of Sound mind & memory thanks be given unto God do make this my Last Will and Testament, this fifth day of August one thousand Seven hundred And Ninety three in form following that is to say first I give to My beloved wife the plantation whereon I now live Containing One Hundred acres Situated in the County Aforesaid for and during the Natural life of my said wife together with all my household and other Effexcts of Every Kind Whatsoever for and during her said life, And after my Said Wifes decease I give to my Grand Daughter Mary Dennis, My wifes Riding Saddle, And after my Said wifes Decease I give to my Said Grand Daughter Mary Dennis the bed whereon we Usually Lie, I also order my said Plantation after My said Wifes Decease to be sold by my herein after Named Executors and the Monies Arising from Said Sale to be put to interest and when My two Grand Children Creighton Ward and Joel Dennis Shall Arrive to the Proper Ages in Law,said Monies to be Eaqually Divided between them, I also Order all My Effects of Every Kind After my Said Wife Decease be Sold and the Monies therefrom arising to be Eaqually Divided by my Executors to my other Grand Children by my Daughter Mary Ward and Anne Dinnes as they Shall Severally Arrive to Lawfull Ages,I also give to my Said Daughters Mary Ward and Anne Dennis Five Shillings Each Lawfull Money of the State, Aforesaid to be paid by my said Executore as also all my Just Debts in the first place be paid, And I hereby constitute And appoint my Trusty friend, Daniel Parkins to be Executor to this my Last Will And Testament according to my True intent and Meaning in Witness whereof I the Said Hugh Creighton have to this my Last will and Testament set my hand and Seal the day & Year Above written ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Signed & Sealed by the Said Hugh Creighton and for his Last Will And Testament in the Presence of us who were presence of us, who were at the signing and Sealing thereof Samuel Kelly Senr Samuel Kelly Jur John Kelly Sen Recorded in Will Book "A" Test.
