In the name of God, amen I David Stone of the district and state aforesaid, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, but weak in body, and calling to mind the uncertainty of life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with, do make and ordain this my last will, in manner following that is to say. I desire that all my cotton be immediately sold after my decease and out of the monies arising there from, all my just debts & funeral expenses by paid. And should the cotton prove insufficient for the above purpose then I desire that my executors herein after named may sell, so much of my stock of horses, hogs, & cattle & tools etc, as my executors hereinafter named may think proper to sell & out of such monies arising there from, pay and satisfy such my just debts as shall remain unpaid out of the sale of the cotton, & after payment of my debts & funeral expenses, I give to my Beloved wife Kissiah Stone, all my estate, as well real as personally, viz, Cats (Slave man) Betsy (a slave woman and her increase if there should be any) Martha (a slave girl and her increase if there should be any) and Caleb (a slave Boy) and the plantation or Tract of land on which I now live containing one hundred & Thirty acres be the same more or less, adjoining the lands at this time belonging to Henry Ricard, Philip Sligh & others, also all the rest my estate both, real & personal, or what nature or quality so ever, it may be not above mentioned during the life time of her natural life or widowhood. And if she should marry she (my beloved wife) is only to have, one good horse, saddle, bridle and bed, bedstead & furniture. All the rest of my property both real & personal I give the same to my children, here in after mentioned to be equally divided among them, to them & their heirs forever. I give my children David Daniel, Elizabeth Katherine, Mary Ann Sarah, Kissiah Caroline, and Henry Stone all of my estate as well real as personally, viz Four negro slaves, Cats, Betsy and her increase if there should be any, Martha & her increase if there should be any, Caleb, also one tract of land containing one hundred & thirty acres be the same more or less adjoining lands at this time belonging to Henry Ricard, Philip Sligh & others to them & their heirs forever, to be divided equally as follows: It is my will if my beloved wife Kissiah Stone should decease or marry before my eldest son should come of age (or twenty one years old) for my executors to hire out & rent the above property until he should arrive at the age of twenty on years old & then it is also my will that my executors here in after named divide the above property both personal & real as they may think proper and said property to be valued & my children above name to take said property at valuation. All the rest of my estate both real & personal of what nature or quality so ever it may be not here in before particular disposed of, I desire may be equally divided amoungst my several children here in before named, & to be divided as above named & I give the same to them, their heirs, executors, administrators, & assigns forever. And lastly I do constitute and appoint my friends Henry Ricard and Henry Werts Junior, Executors of this my last will & testament, by mer here to fore made.
