Drive east on East-76 for 2.0 miles. On the right side of the road, there is a church sign. Turn right and go 0.2 miles, until the road ends. GPS Latitude N 34 45.219 x Longitude W 83 14.398 HISTORY: -------- The church is a small wooden frame type building that is located at the end of a dirt road. there is no electricity in the building, but it seems to be well maintained. The building is not being used for regular church type activities. The cemetery graves are located in 3 general areas: 1) There are (14) graves (approx. 12 unknown) that are located on a high hill in front of the church. It appears that this might have been the original burial starting point. 2) Directly across from the above area, are (50) graves (approx. 8 unknown) that are located on a slight hill. 3) Along side of the church are (8) relatively new graves that are scattered over a large area. For some unknown reason, most of the graves have 1-4 small porcelain figurines placed on them. They range in design from a cross, child's toy or flower bouquet - approx. $3-7 in value. There is a store nearby that sells this type of stuff. It looks like this might be the work of a mentally challenged individual. All the unknown graves are marked with a small (6" x 6") piece of broken tombstone - the markers do not appear to be pieces of the original tombstone. Someone has probably determined that there was a unmarked grave in the area and simply placed a marker on it. DATAFILE INPUT . : Paul M.
