Holder in 1989 DUKE POWER WORLD OF ENERGY This major nuclear power generating facility, which will perhaps one day be classed as a historic structure, currently provides a variety of programming services to Oconee County. In addition to special pro- grams in the visitors' center, a fixed exhibit on the history of energy is open daily. This walk-through exhibit, with a variety of visual/audio presentations, is entertaining and educational. Location: From Seneca, follow the Rochester Highway (Hwy. 130) north past the junction with East Pickens Highway (Hwy. 183 east). From Walhalla or Highway 11, take Pickens Highway (Hwy. 183) east towards Pickens. Signs mark the entrance to the facility.
