Welborn Abbott Seneca, May 16 – The Rev. Welborn Abbott, 84, a Confederate veteran, died at his residence, 104 Oak street, at 5:30 o’clock this morning. Funeral Services will be held Sunday afternoon from the late home at 2 o’clock, Dr. E. V. Babb, the Rev. O. W. Triplett and the Rev. C. K. Douglas officiating. Interment will be in Coneross church cemetery. The eight sons of Mr. Abbott will act as pallbearers. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. E. P. Cox, of Walhalla, and Misses Annie and Mertie Abbott of Seneca and the following sons: J. S. Abbott of Walhalla; J. W. Abbott of King’s Mountain N. C.; the Rev. H. T. Abbott of Springfield Mo.; J. M. Abbott, of Liberty; D. S. Abbott, S. T. Abbott, Roy M. Abbott and B. V. Abbott of Seneca.
