(Issue 31 Jan 1901) Mrs. Jennie Crane died in the Little Eastatoe Section the 24 (Jan) at nearly 104 years of age. (see issue of the 7 Feb 1901). The People Journal Newspaper Book, p. 230. Mrs. Jennie Crane died the 24 Jan at the home of her son Frank Crane who lives on Little Eastatoe. She was born in Pickens Co. the 11 June 1797. Burial was at New Hope Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Crane leaves 3 sons, one in Alabama and 2 in this county.
