Note that it calls the cemetery: "Turner Cemetery, Smith's Chapel". Smith's Chapel is a church on Powdersville Road near the cemetery, but I don't think it has anything to do with that church. The Turner Cemetery part of the Smith's Chapel was attached because "the namer" believed it was the old Turner Hill Cemetery because it was on Turner Hill. I have a longer version of the Smith family (the OPD database) calls the Cemetery: "H. Glenn Smith Family Cemetery", that is probably more correct. The children feared that Walmart, Bi-Lo, and the shopping center would overtake the old Oates Family Cemetery. Palma "Pal" was given only one name at birth.
