Personally appeared before me Elijah Alexander & W. L. Keith & made oath
that the Tract of Land described in the foregoing petition containing Fifty
Acres more or less lying on Carpenters Creek adjoning James Burdine & others
being the Real Estate of Sarah Ayres or Sarah Barrett is not worth $1000 &
they think it best for the parties interested that it should be sold for
Distribution among the Heirs.

Bond for Sale of Land.

State of South Carolina, Pickens District.
Elijah A. Alexander, Daniel M. Alexander & Joseph G. Boggs bound unto W. D.
Steele, Esquire, Ordinary for Pickens District in the full and just sum of
$272, 4 September 1848. The Condition of the above obligation is such That
if the above bound Elijah A. Alexander shall do well and truly pay or cause
to be paid to the above named W. D. Steele, the full and just sum of $25 in
advance and $110 on or before the first Monday of September 1849. Then the
