KEITH PACK. 182 CLERK OF COURTS OFFICE, PICKENS, S. C. In the name of God, Amen. I Elizabeth B. Keith of Pickens Village in the State of South Carolina being Somewhat weak and feeble and knowing it is appointed for man as also for woman to die, and having a desire to dispose of my worldly Estate which was left me by my beloved Husband W. L. Keith late of Pickens Dist. do make this my last Will and Testament in Maner following Viz: 1st. I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my Estate by my Executors after me Death. 2nd. I give to my Grand daughter Elizabeth L. Allen one negro girl Emme, and I also direct my Executors to retain enough of my Estate to finish & complete her Education, if her Education Should not be completed before my death, and my Executors is hereby directed to se that she does have an Education—Sufficiently to be as they adjudge Equal to any of my daughters heretofore. I also give hur two fether beds & Sufficient furniture. It may be asked why I have given the foregoing property to my Said Loving Grand Daughter—I will here Say the will of my late Husband W. L. Keith Decst. will does not allow her an equal Share without my making the bequest, which I think is justly due hur & I therefore give it to hur with the following proviso, that is She dies before She comes to be of proper age or twenty one years of age—or if She dies after that time without having an heir the Said property & all it increas Shal Relap to my Estate to be divided among my lawful heirs. 3d. I direct and Desire that my Executors as Soon after my Death as is a reasonable time, to cause all my Efects & Estate both Real & personal to be appraised and Sold as they may think most advantageous and Equally divided agreeable to the wishes and directions of the last will and Testament of my Husband William L. Keith which I desire to be Equal to Each & Every of my heirs as so directed. Lastly, I constitute and appoint Joseph J. Norton my Son William C. Keith & Joseph B. Reid of this my last will and Testament to carry the Same into Effect agreeable to the meaning & intent of the Same Will. In testimony where unto I have here unto Set my hand and affixed my Seal. Hereby published and declared to be the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth B. Keith hereby Revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made in the presence of us. Nathl. Reid J. P. Reid E. B. Keith (SEAL) J. B. Reid South Carolina Pickens District) Personally appeared Joseph B. Reid before me, and being duly Sworn Saith on oath that he was present and did see E. B. Keidi Sign and Seal the foregoing instrument as, and for, her last Will and Testament, that J. P. Reid and Nathl. Reid were present and Saw the Same, that they all three Signed their names to the Same as Witnesses in presence of each other and the Testatrix. Sworn to before me Joseph B. Reid 29th Decr 1863 W. E.
