WILLIE CROOKS

Willie Crooks, 85, of Columbia, died at the Richland County Convalescent 
Center on Tuesday.  Mr. Crooks was born in Newberry County, the son of the 
late James Wesley and Mary Cannon Crooks, he was a member of St. Mark AME 
Church of Pomaria.
Surviving are one son, Willie Crooks, Jr. of CA; four sisters, Mrs Elizabeth 
Eigner of Blair, Mrs. Carrie Lee Worthy of Adelphi, MD, Ms. Vireen Crooks of 
Brooklyn, N.Y. and Ms. Mary Pearl Crooks of Philadelphia, PA; one brother, 
Otis Crooks of Newberry and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday atSt. Mark AME Church by 
the Rev. J.H. Bates.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of his brother, Otis Crooks in Newberry.
