Contributed to The USGenWeb Archives by: Lorene Rambo (Hocott@aol.com) 5 July 1999 ---------------------------------------- Deeds of Spartanburg County, South Carolina Deed Book F, pages 292-293 William Moore to James Hedden deed January 22nd 1799 This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven and in the third year of Independance, Between William Moore of the State of South Carolina and Spartanburgh County of the one part, and James Hadden of the same State and County of the other part, Witnesseth that William Moore for the consideration of the sum of thirty pounds Sterling to him in hand paid by the said James Heddon, the receipt is hereof fully acknowledged, that he the said William Moore is well Satisfied and paid, and hath granted Bargained and Sold, and by these presents hath bargained and sold James Hadden one hundred acres of land, Begining at a white oak corner, then to a post oak corner, then on the said line to John Mc______ line to a white oak, then Down the said line to a post Oak Corner, then down a Small branch to John Durhams line, then up John Durhams to the white Oak Corner, for one hundred acres of Land more or less, and Including all within them boundaries, for one hundred acres of land let there be more or less, and Including the plantation where James Hadden now lives -- with all and Singular the Houses orchards Trees woods waters and ________ thereof and the Reversion and Reversions Rents and properties of one hundred acres of Land let there be more or less as aforesaid with the premises appertenances hereunto belonging to the only proper and absolute use and behoof of him the said James Hadden his heirs -- Executors administrators or assigns and he the said James Hadden his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the said plantation or tract of one hundred acres of Land let there be more or less, without any manner of trouble or hindrance or molestation or interruption or Denial of him the said William Moore his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns or any other person or persons, But will warrant and forever defend the said tract of one hundred acres of Land let there be more or less as aforesaid In Witness whereof I the said William Moore have hereunto by the presents Set my hand and Seal the day and date first above written.
