Deeds of Spartanburg County, South Carolina Deed Book I, pages 248-249 John and Lucy Lefever wife to Nathaniel Robertson N. 322 23rd March 1804 This Indenture Made this 19 day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and ninety Seven Between John Lefever Junior of Hand Cock County and State of Georgia of the one part and Nathaniel Robertson of Spartanburgh County in the State of South Carolina of the Other Part. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of thirty Pounds Good and Lawfull Money of the State aforesaid to him in hand paid by the Said Robertson the Receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Bargained Granted and Sold Unto the Said Robertson to him and his heirs forever all that tract or Parcel of land Situate Lying and being in Spartanburgh County in South Carolina and on Both Sides of the Bever dam to Wit -- Beginning at a Pine and Running W 20 Chs. to a pine thence S 45 W 42 and 50 Links to a White Oak thence S 20 E 25 Chs and 50 links to a White O Stake thence N 80 E 24 Chs to a Post O thence N 65 W 38 and 73 links to a post O thence N 25 E 30 Chs to the Beginning it Being a tract of land Granted to Abram B______ by William Moultier Esquire Govenor and Commander in Chief in and over the State aforesaid Containing one hundred and ninety Five Acres bearing date the first day of may one thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six.
