Deeds of Spartanburgh County Deed Book F, pages 47-48 Nathaniel Robertson to Charles Morgin Deed January 22, 1798 State South Carolina Know all men by these presents that I Nathaniel Robertson of the County of Spartanburgh in the above said state of the one part and Charles Morgin of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said Nathaniel Robertson for and in the Consideration Sum of forty pounds good and lawful money of the above said state to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Charles Morgin the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to be well Content and Satisfied hath given granted bargained and sold unto the said Charles Morgin his heirs and assigns forever and do by these presents give grant ____ Convey and Confirm unto the said Charles Morgin his heirs and assigns forever all that tract and parcel of Land, Situate in the state and County above Said on the waters of the Beaver Dam a fork of Thickety Creek, to wit. Begining on a post oak and runs west 20 chainsto a pine thence south 45 west 42 Chains and 50 Links to a white Oak, thence South 20 E 25 Chs and 50 Links to a white oak thence No. 30 E 64 Chains to a post oak, thence No. 65 W. 38 Chains and 73 links to post Oak, thence No. 25 E. 30 Chains to the Begining Containing one hundred and Ninety Six acres be the same more or Less.
