Deeds of Spartanburg County, South Carolina Deed Book I, pages 225-227 William Robenson to Alexander McKee No. 310 Entered 1st March 1804 The State of South Carolina Spartanburgh District Know all men by these presents that I William Robertson of District and State aforesaid Planter in consideration of the Sum of forty Seven dollars to me paid by Alexander McKee of the district and State aforesaid Carpenter the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged have Granted Bargained Sold and Released and by these presents do Grant bargain Sell and Release unto the Said Alexander McKee all that plantation and tract of Land lying and being in the District and State aforesaid on a Small Branch of Lawsons Fork of Pacolate River bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a pine and Running South 70 E 20-85 along the Said McKees line crossing this Branch to a white oake. Thence S44 E 32-35 along the Said Robertsons line crossing the Road to a post Oake Thence N 80 168 80 along Isham Harrisons and the Widow Lees line to a Hickory Thence N 18 E 32-35 Along the Said McKees line crossing Both Roads to the beginning Containing forty Seven Acres more or less It being part of a tract of land Originally Granted to Disken Grant by a South Carolina patent bearing date the fourth day of August in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety four for three Hundred and fifty Acres and by the Said Disken Grant Conveyed to the Said William Robertson and I the Said William Robertson do hereby Convey the Same to the Said Alexander McKee Together with all and Singular the Rights members hereditaments and Appertinences to the Said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and Singular the premises before mentioned unto the Said Alexander McKee his heirs forever and I do hereby bind myself My Heirs Executors and Administrators to Warrant and forever defend all and Singular the Said premises Unto the Said Alexander McKee his heirs and assigns Against myself and my heirs and against every person Whomsoever Lawfully Claiming or to Claim the Same or any part thereof Witness my hand and Seal this Seventeenth day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and four and in the twenty Eighth Year of the Sovereignty and independance of the United States of America.
