No. 97   Thomas TIIMMONS to Jesse TRAYLOR   24th May 1805

Know all me by these presents that I, Thomas TIMMONS of the Districts of 
Greenville and State aforesaid in consideration of the sum of three hundred 
and ten dollars to me in hand paid by Jesse TRAYLOR of the same state and 
District of Spartanburgh have granted, bargained, sold and released and by 
these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto Jesse TRAYLOR all 
that tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and fifty acres be the 
same more or less Situate in the District of Spartanburgh on the North 
Fork of Tygar River the plantation whereon the said Jesse TRAYLOR now lives 
on beginning on a pine thence N30W 48 chs. To a stake thence N60E 40 chains 
to a Read (sic)  Ash thence S30E  40 chains to a hickory from thence to the 
first station.  This tract of land left by deed to my father Thomas TIMMONS 
by his father John TIMMONS.  Together with all and singular the rights, 
member, hereditaments and appurtenances the said premises belonging or in 
any wise incident or appurtaining.  To have and to hold all and singular 
the premises before mentioned unto the said Jesse TRAYLOR his heirs and 
assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself , my heirs , executors and 
administrators to warrant and forever defend all the said premises unto 
the said Jesse TRAYLOR his heirs and assigns against myself and my heirs 
and assigns and against any other person or persons whomsoever lawfully 
claiming or to claim the same.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my 
hand and affixed my seal this thirtieth day of January one thousand 
eighteen hundred and five and in the twenty ninth year of American Independence.
