Contributed to The USGenWeb Archives by: Peggy Thompsen (PThomp9719@aol.com) 22 Jan 1999 ---------------------------------------- No. 44 Catherine TRAYLOR to Mary TRAYLOR 6th December 1813 State of South Carolina, Spartanburgh District Know All men by these presents that I, Catherine TRAYLOR of the State and District aforesaid for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have towards my daughter Mary TRAYLOR of The District & State aforesaid have given & by these presents do give and deliver unto the said Mary TRAYLOR one negro girl names Tempey about eighteen months of age which said negro girl I do give to the said Mary TRAYLOR her heirs & assigns forever. And I do bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever to defend the said negro girl unto the said Mary TRAYLOR her heirs and assigns forever against myself and my heirs and against all and every other person or person whatsoever.
