SPEAKING OF DRESS; if one will watchfor half an hour the passing through on a popular promenade, any afternoon, he will conclude that the proper thing to wear this year is suspenders. Nine out of ten women who go by have on some form of suspenders, or jumper dress. There use to be a homely adage that dared women to don man's trousers, but the superstition doesn't apply to the suspenders it seems.
