MR. MASSEY ATKINS, who has been reported sick for several weeks, is today at the point of death. His children have been called to his bedside, expecting the end at any time. MR. Atkins, is an aged Christian gentleman. CHEROKEE NEWS; JOHN O'SULLIVAN, has moved his family to the house of F.T.PARRIS at this place!!!! G.C.BRIDGES put in good time last week away from home with his grain drill, sowing oats across Pacolet River. He says he found some fine farming land in good condition for sowing oats. MRS. J.C. BISSELL , who has been ill for several days, is much improved and hopes to get out soon. We regret to report the illness of MRS. A.G. PARRIS, who has been confined to her bed for several days. MR. RAYMOND SWEENY, of Greenville, was here Sunday visiting DR. J.L.WOFFORD. WHITE STONE NEWS: The little folks enjoyed a birthday party given to RUTH FOSTER at the home of her parents, MR. & MRS.J.K. FOSTER, last Saturday. They gathered and played games until 7 o'clock, when they were invited into the dining room where a beautiful table was set with fruits, cakes and candies. MR. ARTHUR TINSLEY, who is attending school at Wofford College, spent Sunday with his parents, MR. & MRS. J.J. TINSLEY. MISS BLANCHE FOSTER spent last Saturday with MISS EDNA FOSTER. MRS. J.D. ALLEN is spending a few days in Sptbg. with relatives. MR. PAUL MURPH, who is attending school at Wofford , spent the day Sunday with his parents, MR.& MRS. W.W. MURPH. MISS ANNIE OTT spent the weekend with her parents. MISS MAY CALVERT spent the weekend with her parents at Sptbg. MRS. SMITH GOSSETT of Gaffney, has been spending several days with her sister, MRS. W.V. HARNEY. CAMPOBELLO NEWS; MR. COLLINS & B.P. HALL made good talks on 'What part miricles have in evangelizing the world.' MR. SMILEY COLLINS is ill with pneumonia. MR. & MRS. ALEX FARMER visited at MR. JACK FARMER'S in Ebeneezer Welcome Community Sat & Sunday. MR. & MRS. L.W. LANFORD of Campobello were visitors at J.J. EUBANK'S yesterday. MISS EUNICE STAGGS and MRS. WILL PATERSON went to Apalache Sat. afternoon on a visit. MRS. JOHN BARNETT and little daughter, Mamie visited at MR. WILL LOFTIS Friday night. MR. H.J. STAGGS left yesterday for Sptbg. where he will serve as a juror this week. Small grain and carly garden vegetables are looking fine at this time. TWO SINNERS FINED: Gaffney. Mayor ROSS held a session of court this morning for first time in two weeks. Two sinners were presented at the bar, one for carring an unlawful weapon and the other for selling whiskey. SAM JOLLY , a negro was given $25. fine or 30 days in jail for carrying the weapon and SAM LEECH , another was was fined the same for selling whiskey. PROMINENT CITIZEN OF INMAN PASSES AWAY; Inman. March 22. R.F. TERRELL, one of Inman;s most popular citizens, died here today at 4;30 pm of pneumonia. He had been sick just eleven days when death came and claimed its victim. The deceased was in his 60th yr. and leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. The children are; MISS LOUISE TERRELL of this place and JOHN TERRELL , who is the Southern railway agent at Landrum. DEATH IN UNION; Union mar.22. MR. H.H. ROBINSON , one of Union county's well known citizens died at his home near Gibbs this morning at 4 o'clock. He will be buried at Putnam ch. tomorrow. He leaves a wife and several children and was about 57 years old. He had been in poor health for many months. A large circle of friends and acquaintances mourn his death. MR. J.D. GRAHAM , aprominent farmer living near Cross Keys died on Sat. March 20, Mr. Graham has been in failing health for several months. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his death. Mr. Graham was 62 years of age and was buried with Masonic honors at Padgett's Creek ch.
