Among those who have secured certificates authorizing them to buy round-trip tickets at reduced rates are; S.B. EZELL, Adjutant of Camp, JOE WALKER, NO. 335, W.T. CATO, G.W. ADAIR, W.S. CALDWELL, and HIS THREE DAUGHTERS, MISSES ELIZA and LUCILE CALDWELL, and MRS.J.L. FARMER, W.Y. DILLARD, MRS. McLAUGHLIN,widow of Confederate veteran; R.M. JOLLY, MR.& MRS. J.B. DILLARD,who are now in Miami, Fla.and will go there to New Orleans. The Southern Railway will attach a tourist sleeper to the train leaving Spartanburg tomorrow at 11:52 o'clock. Berths can be had on the sleeper at rediced rates. Tickets were on sale yesterday and will continue through Tuesday. VERNON MUCKENFUSS, aged 54 years died at his late residence, the home of his daughter, MRS. CHARLES A. MOSS, JR. in the city. Interment will follow in OAKWOOD cemetery. The deceased is survived by his widow, MRS. ALBERTA MUCKENFUSS and one daughter, MRS. CHARLES A. MOSS, JR., of the city.Two sisters; MRS. LUCILLE GILES of Wellford, and MRS.W.H. LaFAR of Charleston. DAUGHTER OF MR. & MRS. M.G. STONE. MR. & MRS. MARSHALL STONE of Gainesville, Ga. announced the birth of their daughter, Thursday, April 11. MRS. STONE was formerly MISS MAXIE BROWN , of the city. PIONEER PREACHER DIES IN COWPENS COMMUNITY by P.H. FIKE, staff correspondent. Cowpens, April 28, - REV. WILLIAM M. WHITE, aged 84 years, native of this section died near Cowpens recently and was buried with Masonic honors by the Cowpens Lodge at Thompson's chapel, a church he served for years as pastor. His life was spent in the rural isolated sections of this and adjoining counties preaching the Gospel.
