Will Book B Page 22 Written: March 4, 1814 Recorded: February 12, 1822 Will of William Meaders In the name of God Amen. I William Meaders of Spartanburgh District and State of South Carolina being infirm in Body but of sound mind memory & understanding Thanks to Almighty God for it, Do make this my last will & testament—Viz. I give and bequeath to my loving wife Ann Meaders the plantation on which I now live with all my household & Kitchen furniture with all my live Stock I may have at my decease as long as she shall live. To my son Thomas Meaders all the woodland in the fork of the branch to him and his heirs forever. To My son John Meaders one half of the remainder of my tract of land Including the House in which I now live—But But to permit my Daughter Peggy Hindman to live in the house so long as she shall choose so to do the rest of my and I give and devise to my Grandson John Meaders being the lower part of my land to him and his heirs forever---To my Grandson William Hindman one bay Colt & one feather bed and furniture. The rest of my personal property to be sold by the direction of my Executors and equally divided be to my daughters & two sons Viz. Elizabeth Harralson, Jane Smith, Peggy Hindman, Dorcas Vice Jefse Meaders James Meaders, Nancy Moore, Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my son John Meaders whole & Sole Executor of this my last will & testament—In witness whereof I have set my hand and Seal this fourth day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & fourteen and the thirty eighth of the Independence of America.
