SPARTANBURG DISTRICT WILL JEAN THOMSON, 1816 Will of Jean Thomson In the name of God Amen, I Jean Thompson of the State of South Carolina, Spartanburgh District, widow, being infirm in body, but of perfect mind & memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make this my last will & testament in manner and form following---- First, I give, devise and bequeathe unto my Son Lawson Thomson, all the Tract of Plantation of land on which I live containing four hundred acres -- together with all the rest & remainder of my Estate, whether real or personal that I now have, or have a right to claim, to be his forever. I also give to my daughters -- To Esther Burton one hundred dollars, to be paid to her, if living, one year after my decease ---To Mary Wright one hundred dollars, to be paid to her, if living, one year after my decease -- To Sarah Trail one hundred dollars, three years after my decease if then living. Lastly -- I nominate, constitute & appoint my Son Lawson Thomson sold Executor, to this my last and Testament, revoking all others and declaring this to be my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I Jane Thomson have set my hand & Seal this seventeenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & Sixteen & 40th year of American Independence.
