Indictment for murder. The defendant was called put in dock and asked if he  
had anything to say, why the sentence of the court should not be passed upon 
him. He answered "Nothing to say".  Whereupon the court passed the following 
sentenced Viz-To be imprisoned until the first day of January next & pay a 
fine of three hundred dollaes.  Josiah J Evans
