I Ethelial Newman bing in a low state of bodily health but in perfect mind and memory do constitute and ordain this my last will and testament. In the first place I recommend my soul to God who gave it in hopes of a joyful resurrection at the last judgement through the redeemer. In the next place I desire to be interred after the common custom and as to this worlds affairs which it pleased God to bestow on me after my just debts being paid I wish them disposed of as hereafter mentioned------In the first place I will unto Elizabeth Windham my sister one dollar to hir and hir heirs forever----- 2nd I will unto Axsha Cole my sister one dollar to hir and hir heirs forever------------------ 3rd I will unto Hehemiah Newman my brother one dollar to him and his heirs forever 4th I will unto Molcy Wilson my sister one dollar to hir and hir heirs forever----------------- 5thly I will unto John Newman my brother one dollar to him and his heirs forever----- 7th I will unto Susannah Fields my sister one dollar to hir and hir heirs forever-- 8th I will unto Elias Durant the land wheron I now live together with all the land that I do posse to him and his heirs forever. And after all the above debts being paid out of my persihable property I desire the balance to be equally divided between Joseph Windham, Eliza Windham and Sarah Windham. In witness wheroff I set my hand and seal this _____________ day of One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty four and in the forty eight year of the Independence of the United States of America.
