Contributed to The USGenWeb Archives by: Lorene Rambo (Hocott@aol.com) 9 Oct 1998 ---------------------------------------- Power of Attorney signed by Mary Ann Robertson as Executrix of the Will of Thomas Robertson: Deeds of Union County, South Carolina Book M, page 251 State of South Carolina Know all men by these presents that I Mary Ann Robertson of the Parish of Bartholomew in the District of Coleton and State aforesaid Executrise of the last will and testament of Thomas Robertson late of the Parish and State aforesaid deceased Reposing Special trust and confidence in Hezekiah Salmon my Lawfull attorney with power to receive and take into custody and Possession for the use benefit and behoof of the legatees and other Person or persons, interested in and under the last Will and testament of the said Thomas Robertson in as full and ample a manner for the purpose or purposes that I the said Mary Ann Robertson Am entitled to have receive and take into my possession certain Negro Slaves which were of the said Thomas Robertson at the time of His death and which came into my hands to be administered, to wit the negro Slaves Joe Silvy with her children Seala and Landy and Three other small Children or any or either of them, who were wrongfully taken out of my hands and possession by certain person or Persons unknown, and by him or them converted, to his or their own Use; and to cause to be commenced and prosecuted for the recovery of the said Negro Slaves or any or either of them, Suit or suits at Law or Equity and to give or receive any receipt or Receipts, or Other writing or writings sum or sums of money which I might or would be intitled to, give or receive as Executrix, as aforesaid By reason of the premises.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal this twenty fifth day of August Anno: domini 1814 Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of:  Wm.
