Contributed to The USGenWeb Archives by: Lorene Rambo Hocott@aol.com July 1998 ********************************************************************** Deeds of Union County, South Carolina Book B, page 43 This Indenture made this Twentyseventy day of September in the Year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven hundred and Eightyseven and the Eleventh Year of American Independency.  Between James Hogan and Conny his wife of the State of South Carolina and County of Union of the one part and James Hogans Senior of said State and County of the Other part.  Witnesseth that said James Hogans Junior Conny Hogans for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds Sterling Money them the said James Hogans Junior and Conny Hogan in hand well and Truly paid by the said James Hogan Senior at and before the Sealing and Delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and they the said James Hogins Junior and Conny Hogin his wife hath bargained Sold and by these presents doth bargain Sell and Deliver unto the Said James Hogin Senior all  that plantation Or Tract of Land Containing one hundred and ninety seven acres and 1/2.  Situate in Union County in the fork between Broad and Tygar Rivers on a branch of Tygar River Called Bogins bruk bounding Southwardly on Land granted to Isaac Hollingsworth the above land was granted to Hezekiah Gentry by the Honourable William Moultier Esquire Governor and Commander in Chief in and over the State of South Carolina. bearing Date the fifth day of June Ano Domi. one Thousand and Seven hundred and Eighty Six and in the tenth Year of American Independence which said one hundred and Ninety Seven acres and 1/2 acres of Land Together whole and Singular The woods underwoods timber and Timbertrees Meadows pastures ponds lakes ways water courses gardens profits Rights appurtenances whatsoever there unto belonging or in anyway thereto appurtaining to the Said  Land and hereditaments and the Reversion and Reversions Rents Issues and profits Thereof and Every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said Plantation or Tract of Land Containing One hundred and Ninety Seven 1/2 acres whole and every of the Remissions and appurtenances There unto belonging Or in any wise appertaining there unto belonging unto The Said James Hogins Senior his heirs and assigns for ever and I the said James Hogin and Conny Hogins will warrent and forever Defend the Said Land unto the Said James Hogins Senior his heirs or assigns from the Just  Claim or Demand of him the Said James Hogins Junior and Conny Hogins their heirs Executors  or Administrators against all and Every other person or persons whatsoever.
