Contributed to The USGenWeb Archives by: Lorene Rambo (Hocott@aol.com) 9 Oct 1998 ---------------------------------------- 1812 Seral Hallford sells property to James McDonald Deeds of Union County, South Carolina Book L, page 276 The State of South Carolina Know all men by these presence that I Seral Hallford of Union District in the state aforsaid for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eighty five Dollars to me in hand paid by James McDonald of the State and District aforsaid have granted Barganed and sold and by these presence do grant Bargain sell convey and Confirm unto the said James McDonald A certain Tract or Parcell of Land Containing thir (?) acres be the Same more or less Laying in Union District in the state aforsaid and is to be laid out in the following maner begining on a Hickory on an old line formily called Lyles thence N. 78 E with said line to an old corner formily McDug__ thence N with said line to a stake corner of a grate survey of 2000 acres called Butlers Survey then West with said line to a Pine note corner then a strait line to the Begining Hickory corner Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtainance whatever Belonging thereunto Belonging or in any wise Incident and appertaining To have and to hold all and singular the premises above mentioned with all thing there unto Belonging to the only use and behalf of the said James McDonald his heirs and assigns forever defend all and Singular the above mentioned premises to the said James McDonald his heirs and assigns to all and Every other Person or Persons whome soever lawfully claiming or to clame the same or any Part thereof in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty forth of November one thousand Eight hundred and twelve.
