I Benjamin Johnson do send greeting. Know yea that I the said Benjamin Johnson of the State of South Carolina District of Pinckney and Union County Planter for and in consideration of the good will and love and affection which I have and do bear toward my loving son James Mooreman Johnson & my son William Johnson & my Loving daughter Judith Johnson of the same State and County aforesaid, Have bargained and by these presents doth freely give and grant unto the said James Mooreman Johnson one Negroe boy named Harry to Have & to Hold the said Negroe him his heirs and assigns forever and likewise I give to my well beloved Son William Johnson one Negroe woman named Leti her and her increase from this day forward to him the said William Johnson to him his heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold the said Negroe forever, and Likewise I give to my well beloved Daughter Judith Johnson one Negroe Girl named Esther to have and to hold the said Negroe Girl she and her increase forever which Negroes I do and have given as above mentioned to my three children above named, viz. James Mooreman Johnson & William Johnson & Judith Johnson.
