Deeds of Union County, South Carolina Book B, page 196 This Indenture made this thirteenth day of April One thousand seven hundred and Eighty nine and the Thirteenth of American Independence between Henry Long of South Carolina and Union County of the one part and Ann Robinson of the same place of the other part.  Witnesseth that whearas in and by a Certain Grant bearing date the Fourteenth day of September One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy four Under the hand of his Excellency William Bull  Governor at the time with the Great Seal of South Carolina for such purposes appointed as will appear by a platt annexed to a Grant Deposited in the hands of the said Henry Long With Refferrence to the Secretaries Office it therefore appears this pattent and play was Given and Granted to Henry Long the day and date as above written for two hundred acres lying and being in Craven County on the south side of Broad River on the waters of Hughes Creek bounded when Surveyed by Vacant land on all sides beginning at a Black Oak running  SE 544 chains 72 links to a White Oak thence SW 25 minutes 44 chains 72 links to a White Oak thence N 16 degrees 65 minutes 44 chains 72 links to a White Oak thence NE 85 degrees 44 minutes 72 links to the beginning which said 200 Acres of land was Granted to the said Henry Long his heirs or Assigns forever in free and Common Lockage with all its rights members appertenances Or anything Thereunto belonging. Now This Indenture witnesseth that for and in Consideration of One hundred pounds Sterling found in hand before the sealing and delivery of these presents paid by Ann Robinson to him the said Henry Long the receipt of which he the said Long doth hereby Acknowledge and himself to be fully Satisfied Contented and paid and he the said Henry Long doth by these presents bargain sell release Convey and Confirm  unto the above Ann Robinson all and Singular the above mentioned Tract of two hundred Acres of land with all its Rights members Hereditaments buildings Improvements timbers woods Waters rents profits and every Other thing appertainning thereto or any wise belonging to the said two hundred Acres of land and that the said Henry Long Doth Covenant and agree with the said Ann Robinson in manner following that is to say he the said Henry Long will for himself his heirs and assigns allways stand good to her the said Ann Robinson her heirs or assigns for and  Indefeasable Estate of Inheritance of the above two hundred Acres of land Warranting and Defending the same from all manner of Incumbrances rights or claims mortguages Judgements and former Sales or any Thing that may alter or Change the same and that She the said Ann Robinson for herself her heirs or assigns may now and all times peaceably Occupy and Injoy the said two hundred Acres of Land with all and every of its Rights in fee simple and that he the said Henry Long doth warrant and defend any person and all prsons from laying any Claim thereto.
